Hopedale Rehabilitation Begins
Construction begins today on the Hopedale Rehabilitation project. This project was developed to renew aging infrastructure and address overflows by reducing the amount of rainfall that can enter the system through defects. It consists of the evaluation and rehabilitation, as necessary, of approximately 28,600 linear feet of existing gravity sewer, approximately 150 manholes, and associated service laterals within Metro’s rights-of-way and easements. As part of the Hopedale Rehabilitation area, project underruns will allow MWS to add similar work in the Patricia Drive area. That work consists of rehabilitation of approximately 3,700 linear feet of existing sewer lines, along with services and manholes.
